She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Williams, Sr. and Rae Mae Williams; her husband Sgt. Major James Tubbs, Sr.; and her sisters, Thelma Williams, Velma Bryson, Tempie Moorehead, Lucretia Williford, Willie Mae Graham and Majorie Black.
She is survived by: her friend Virgie Bland; her son James "Boo" Tubbs, Jr.; her grandson Demetrius "DJ" Singleton; her brothers, Homer Williams, Jr. and James Williams, Sr.; and her goddaughter Rasheeda Lawrence. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous other family members and friends.
