He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Kolkman and Osa Kolkman. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kolkman; his brother Adrian Kolkman (Starla); his daughters, Kristine Champion (Nicolas) and Amanda Cerny (Joshua); and his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Lauren Champion, William and Daniel Cerny. He is also survived by nieces and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, the church Allen served for so many years and/or Concordia Theological Seminary scholarship fund that helped him fulfill his dream of becoming a pastor.
