It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mercedes A. MacIel of Oakley, California, who passed away on July 13, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mercedes A. MacIel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Arostegui and Anita Arostegui. She is survived by: her daughters, Annamaria Stark and Rebecca Maciel Lester; her son-in-law Tom Maciel Lester; her grandchildren, Desiree Prano, Derek, Devon Stark, Nikolas Stires, Marianna, Cassandra and Vivian Maciel Lester; and her siblings, Leonel Arostegui (Martha) of Walnut Creek, Cesar Arostegui (Ileana) of Guatemala, Margarita Kreimann of Nicaragua and Anita Lopez (Isidoro) of Miami, Florida.. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
