It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wanema Gnegy of Oakland, California, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Moore and Juanita Moore (Brady); her former husband William Painter; her children, Sharon Painter and William "Bill" Painter; and her brothers, Roger Lee Moore, Kenny Moore and Ralph Moore.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Gnegy; her daughter Terry Stanea (David) of Coeur d'Alene, ID; her grandchildren, Theresa Upole and Samuel Wamsley; and her brothers, Virgil Moore (Jean), Lenord Moore and Luther Ratliff. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the C &'s Fredlock Funeral Home (21 N 2nd St Ext, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
