He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Wieland (Castruccio); his children, Sonia Zubareva (Dmitry) and Ian Wieland; his grandson Ronan Zubarev; and his siblings, Dr. John Wieland (Michael McLaughlin) and Margaret Utt (Charles). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Hooper & Weaver Mortuary (459 Hollow Way, Nevada City, CA 95959). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (235 Chapel St, Grass Valley, CA 95945).
