She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Deahl and Martha Deahl; her husband Bobby Gene Flinn; her brother Marion Deahl; and her daughter Melody Ann Flinn.
She is survived by: her sons, B. Gene Flinn (Joyce) of Oakland and Michael Flinn (Jennifer) of Cumberland; her grandchildren, Meghan Flinn (Aaron Heishman), Rachel Flinn Knudsen (Aren), William Zimmerman, Jr., Rebecca Flinn, Aidan Flinn and Liam Flinn; her great grandchildren, Owen, Kasper and Effie; and her pets, Peppermint and Pattie.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the C &'s Fredlock Funeral Home (21 N 2nd St Ext, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church (318 E Oak St, Oakland, MD 21550). Passionate about education, she worked as a teacher early in her career and taught private piano lessons for over 55 years, maintaining a full-time teaching schedule until the pandemic led her to retire at the age of 85.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marianne's honor and memory to Cindy's Fund, the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad, or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
