We bid farewell to James Schrock of Oakland, California, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 22, 2025 at the age of 97. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Page Cline and Ethel "Veda" Schrock (Evans); his former wife Mary Frances Schrock (Friend); and his siblings, Charles David Schrock and Page Cline Schrock, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Alice Wilt Schrock; his children, James R. Schrock of Aurora, Richard Allen Schrock (Karen) of Pensacola, FL, Sheila Dedrickson of Atlanta, GA and Sandra Kay Stutteville (Tom) of Shreveport, LA; his stepdaughter Sherri Evans (Teddy) of Oakland; and his sister Helen Ferrell of Oakland. He is also survived by several grandchildren and step grandchildren; several great grandchildren and step grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oak Park Church (110 Church Ln, Oakland, MD 21550). Dick also was a volunteer at Garrett Memorial Hospital for over 20 years up until 2019 pandemic.
