He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael López Rosas and Genoveva Briseño; and his siblings, Micaela, Carmela, Blanca, Rafael and Jesus.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Castañeda; his children, Leticia, Sergio, Lourdes, Adriana, Gilberto, Marisol, Cuauhtemoc and Johnny; his children-in-law, Dewaine, Roderick, Victoria, Jasmin, Alicia and Rodney; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Cristian, Sergio Jr., Elizabeth, Adrian, Alex, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Jasmine, Audrey, Dewaine, Janelle, Manny, Jeremias and Zayden; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, William and McKenzie; and his brother Ignacio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery Tower Chapel (5000 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA 94611). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Leander Catholic Church (550 W Estudillo Ave, San Leandro, CA 94577).
