He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Mathias and Rachel Mathias; his daughter Carolyn Lanzone; his siblings, Jim Mathias and Marlene Votta; and his grandson Robert Lanzone.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathleen Bellino (Frank), Christine Dowlatshahi (Morteza) and Cheryl Lawrence (Bobby); his sisters, Eleanor Ennis and Barbara Caravella; his grandchildren, Nicole Meier, Noelle Machado, Ashley Bellino, Antonio Lanzone, Farrah Dowlatshahi, Arianna Dowlatshahi, Cyrus Dowlatshahi, Darius Dowlatshahi and Olivia Lawrence; and his great grandchildren, Remington Meier and Wyatt Meier.
