With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Jean Beres of North Hollywood, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex J. Beres and Ethel Sirbek; and her husband Jay Howard Gettleman. She is survived by: her son Marc Gettleman (Darlene); her grandchildren, Yvonne LeBrun, Michael Cartee, Kevin Cartee, Joey Cartee, Marc Gettleman II, Kristin Gettleman and Victoria Gettleman; her great grandchildren, Joseph Cartee, Justin Cartee, Sean Cartee, Cayden Cartee, Haydan Gettleman and Aiyana Gettleman; and her siblings, Julia Beres and Jonathan Beres.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home (1310 S Main St, Lillington, NC 27546).
In lieu of flowers, Emma has requested that donations can be made to a local charity of one's choice.
