He is survived by: his wife Paulette Nighswonger; his stepdaughters, Debbie Ballough and Sherrell Shaw-Griffith; and his siblings, Mary Lane Frazier, Jean Norman and Linda Faye Thomas. He is also survived by three children by his first marriage: Lyle Jay Nighswonger, Jody Crawford and Deena Hiltbrand; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
