He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cory Black; his children, David Black and Kathleen Black Canter; his stepchildren, Andrew K. Stevens and Margaret P. Stevens; his grandsons, Jeremy and Aaron Canter; and his stepgrandsons, Joseph Stevens, Alexander Meadow and Jacob Meadow.
