She was predeceased by: her husband William Horton (Bill); and her daughter Linda Luschei. She is survived by: her children, Erich, Gabriela and Tom Luschei; her daughters-in-law, Laurie Luschei and Yasmín Uribe-Luschei; her grandchildren, Danny, Ashleigh, Savannah, Linda, Andrew Luschei and Alec Matthews; her siblings, Connie Schnoor, Steve and Tom Berry; and her stepdaughters, Kathy, Susan Horton and Theresa Duer.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Nebraska Foundation.
