It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eleanor Marie Chavez of Newport Beach, California, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on March 14, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Carrisosa and Marie Sarah Magdaleno; her husband Ben Chavez; her son Richard Chavez; and her grandchildren, Isabella Chavez and Louis Nigro.

She is survived by: her former husband Richard Peterson; her children, Christine Peterson, Timothy Chavez, Loretta Lewis and Michael Chavez; and her grandchildren, Michele Kahl, Portia Nigro, Cody Chavez, Lauren Chavez and Michael Lewis. She is also survived by her ten great grandchildren.
