With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luis Soares Sousa of Newman, California, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Silveira Sousa and Maria Leontina Soares (Angela Sousa); and his siblings, Gabriel Sousa, Pedro Sousa, Amelia Sousa, Conceicao Sousa, Maria, Carmo Sousa, Bernadete Sousa, Antonio Sousa, Angelo Sousa and Fatima Sousa.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Sousa; his daughters, Tina Sousa, Marlene Serpa, Susana Sousa, Joana Sousa and Joelma Pineda; and his siblings, Jose Sousa, Manuel Sousa, Frank Sousa, João Sousa and Luisa Flores. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hillview Funeral Chapel (1258 R St, Newman, CA 95360). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim's Catholic Church (1121 Main St, Newman, CA 95360).
