With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Domingos Avelar (Newman, California), who passed away on April 21, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Jose Avelar and Fatima Avelar. He is survived by: his wife Leonor Avelar of Newman; his children, Manuel Avelar of Newman, John Avelar of Bakersfield, Maria Duarte of Placerville, Rosie Silva of Sonora and Theresa Souza of North Carolina; and his sisters, Anna Cunha of Gustine and Rosa Parreira of Watsonville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
