He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gay and Lucille Gay; and his children, William, Jr. and Linda Marie. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Gay (Colleen) of Las Vegas and Richard Gay of Walnut Creek; his brothers, Richard Gay of Belmont, CA and Matthew Gay of San Francisco; and his grandchildren, Derek, Brooke Ellingson, Olivia and Elizabeth Gay of Hayward, CA..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital in Sacramento.
