John Perry Sloan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Perry Sloan (Nevada City, California), who passed away on August 20, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Sloan and Eunabel Sloan; his brother Alan Sloan (Betty); and his nephew Karl Sloan. He is survived by: his wife Marina Sloan; his children, Kelly Sloan and John Sloan (Donna); his nephew Brett Sloan (Lynn); his children, Lee Beard, Brooks Beard (Sarah) and Jahna Rinaldi (Mark); and his grandchildren, Katie, Ben, Abby Sloan, Brooklyn and Jackson Beard.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Foothills, Friends of the Nevada County Libraries (ncfol.org) or a charity of your choice.

“Dearest Marina and Family, I worked with Perry at JSA back in the late 90's-2000's He was my boss in the contracts division. Together we did work with GSA, where he taught me so many things about leadership and commitment. He was a leader and a role model and in so many ways showed me how to be my very best!
