He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinita Owen and James West; and his wife Linda Hellgren. He is survived by: his brother Bud West; his children, Rochelle West and Gene West Jr.; his grandchildren, Jessica Fiscus, Shandy Vandiver, Jordan Spears, Odessa Spears, Sterling Meyer and Wilder West; and his great grandchildren, Marissa, Kylie, Madelyn, Cody, Tristan, Isabella, Divina, Remi, Maverick and Vaia.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Nevada County Fair Grounds Northern Mines Building.
