Leonardo Yap Alcantara Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonardo Yap Alcantara of National City, California, who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ricardo Alcantara and Encarnacion Alcantara; his wife Lucita Silvano Alcantara; his children, Myrissa Alcantara Yamashiro and Nolan Silvano Alcantara; his sister Gloria Ramulla Tuquero of Chula Vista, CA; and his grandson Julian Yoichi Yamashiro.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private committal service will occur Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, California 92122.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leonardo's memory may be made to The First United Methodist Church of National City, Mission Outreach Ministries.
