It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Dunlap Galbraith (Napa, California), who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, David Coombs Dunlap and Elizabeth Farrell Dunlap; her husband Alan; her children, David, Katie and Jean; her children-in-law, Alyce, Adam and Jeremy; her grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Kate, Alan, Noor, Ken and Bryce; and her sister Louise. She was also cherished by her extended family, and built a community of friends.
During the pandemic, she kept little Alan well-stocked with Legos; played online bridge every week with Ben and little Sarah; listened with delight to the preschool exploits of Ken; taught Bryce the names of all the counties of California; and read books over FaceTime every day to Kate and Noor until just two weeks before her death.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Sarah's memory to one of the following organizations: Collabria Care, which provided Sarah with hospice; Rianda House, a senior center in St. Helena; or the Pension Rights Center, to which Sarah's dear friend Karen Ferguson devoted much of her life.
