He was predeceased by: his parents, Celina Fernandes and Antonio Rocha; and his brother Francisco. He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Martins Beirao; and his siblings, Guillermo, Ildeberto, Conceicao, Adelina, Zulmira and Maria (Carmo). He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
Parkinson's caused him to retire early as he was serving as the winery warehouse manager.
