He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Vital and George Basta, Sr.; his brother Robby; and his uncle Buck Manley. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his son Alex; his siblings, April Ruygt (Jake), Sarah Vital and John Basta; his brothers-in-law, Al Robinson (Kathleen) and Doug Robinson; his nieces, Jennifer Ruygt, Andrea Ruygt and Jessica Ruygt Giddings (Rob); his nephew Matthew Jackson; his godsons, Sean Sullivan and Ryan Sullivan; and his friend Jordana Green. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
