He was predeceased by: his parents, Neta Mae Raney Cox and Charley Hugh Cox; and his brothers, Charles Cox, Bob Cox and Lester Cox.

He is survived by: his wife Trish Cox of Murrieta; his daughters, Nancy Louvier (Norm) of Costa Mesa, Diane Scsigulinsky (Albert) of Mission Lakes and Tammy Kennedy of Canyon Lake; his grandchildren, Ryan Stimmler (Erin) of Richmond, Jason Hudson (Joshua Louvier) of Wildomar, Holly Reynolds (Jordan Hudson) of Costa Mesa and Jennifer Shibley (Lauren Watters) of Santa Ana; his great grandchildren, Jordyn Hudson, Dylan Hudson, Ojaio Reynolds, Landyn Hudson, Bentley Louvier, Bayley Louvier, Kaden Watters, Rozlyn Hudson, Mara Watters, Kylie Shibley, Addison Hudson, Derenger Shibley, Payton Hudson, Roan Watters and Dawson Hudson; and his sisters, Betty Pullen of Weston, Doris Webb of Kansas City, Geraldine Browning (Bud) of Lebo, Charlene DuBord of Costa Mesa and Nellie Edlin (Charlie) of Kansas City.

Memorial: In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in his name to "Cystic Fibrosis Foundation" in honor of William's great granddaughter, Ojaio Reynolds.
