“I was wondering why I haven't heard from Jay recently and just heard of his passing. Condolences to his family and friends. We had a connection as he and I both worked for the Dodgers. The only thing different, I am a S.F. Giants, 49ers & a UCLA fan, so we used to kid each other and bust each other every season. Lots of good chats and mostly laughs. We were both Eagles & Doobie Bros. freaks. We were supposed to go see T.B. Schmidt, but schedule didn't work out. Rest well my friend. RIP J.Bags...”

“Just learned of Jay’s passing. Soul-crushing news. We never met in person but we established a close virtual friendship via e-mail and Facebook. He was a True Blue Los Angeles Dodgers lifer; I'm a forever San Francisco Giants fan. We enjoyed many deep baseball discussions.
