She is survived by: her spouse Jim Ayers; and her sons, Jimmy and Donny.
Esther and Jim retired to Tampa Florida in 1993, where Esther became actively involved in the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, as the writer and editor of their quarterly newsletter.
