He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Hasty Stanley and Justin Ralph Collins; and his brother Thomas V. Stanley, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Collins; his children, Edward R. Collins, Jr. (Dianne) of Clemson, SC, David M. Collins (Hope) of Roscoe, IL, Michael K. Collins of Murrieta, CA and Amy E. Collins (Richard) of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Katie Fronek, Wren Collins, Sam Collins and Claire Montgomery (David); his great grandchildren, Tommy Johnson and Madeline Montgomery; his siblings, John H. Stanley (Rose) of Laurinburg, NC and Nancy S. Harris (Mike) of Cypress, TX; and his sister-in-law Mary Alice Stanley.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside National Cemetery (22495 Van Buren Boulevard, March Air Reserve Base, CA 92518).
