He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Hub" Carnifax and Sarah "Veda" Carnifax (Crist); his wife Shirley Ann Lavinder Carnifax; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Davis of Brunswick, Ian, Kayleigh Hanks of Jamestown, Mathew Davis (Ashley) of Pineville, Amanda Davis of Pineville and Larissa Davis of Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Davis (Tanja) of Huntington and Mitzi Hanks (John) of Jamestown, Ohio.; his great grandchild Eli Stanley of Newnan, Georgia.; and his siblings, Bobby Carnifax (Susie) of Barberton, Ohio, Anna Clay (Willie) and Jean Kincaid (Guy) of Ramsey, WV..
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Mountain View Christian School at P. O. Box 1246 Oak Hill, WV 25901-1246.
