He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Axtman and Arlene Axtman (Heidner); his daughter Elizabeth Wilson; his sisters, Patricia Axtman and Pamela Zoss; and his nephew Gregory Axtman.
He is survived by: his son Nicholas of Waukee, Iowa; his son-in-law Steve Wilson of Hannibal, Missouri; his stepchildren, Shawn Lanier (Heather) of Sacramento and Amy Lanier (Chris Brown) of Mt. Shasta, California; his grandchildren, Isabella, Noah, Kasper Axtman, Stevie and Brody Wilson; and his siblings, Mary Gilbert (Ron) of Hitchcock and Mike Axtman (Sharon) of Byron, Minnesota. He is also survived by 4 step-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
