She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Lay and Naomi Lay; her children, Mary Lynn (Jim Girard), Edward Raymond, Lana Suzanne (Ken Lovelady) and Ed Long; her grandchildren, Steven Girard (Cindi), Greg Girard (Kyra), Keri (Victor Matamoros), Amanda Lovelady and Kyle Lovelady (Lila); her husband Don; and her sister Marjorie Erickson. She was also cherished by 6 great grandchildren.
