It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Schoofs of Moraga, California, who passed away on October 19, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irene Julia and Louis Frederick Schoofs; his children, Therese, R. J. Schoofs, Associates, Schoofs Incorporated, Greg Schoofs, Gregory, Marlene (Cathy Garrett) and Mark (Jorge Santana Corona); his granddaughter Therese Santana Schoofs; and his siblings, Father Robert Schoofs and Mary Joan Prieve. He was also cherished by many other relatives and friends.
Donations in memory of Richard Schoofs can be made to the John Muir Land Trust, which preserves open land in the East Bay hills, and UCSF, which carries out world-class medical research, education, and care.
