It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melzoria Elizabeth Gomes in Monterey, California, who passed away on July 14, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Slay and Susie Slay (Davis); her husband Leonard Gomes; and her daughter Nancy Orlando Bravo. She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Orlando Rieger (Ralph) and Denise Orlando Garcia (Rich); her stepdaughter Lee Ann Heers (Dick); her son-in-law Bill Bravo; her brother-in-law David Gomes (Gale); and her grandchildren, Brandon (Esther), Roger, Erin, Julie, Briana, Alison, Haley (Josh), Ashley, Allison (Cory) and Amy (Clayton). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Central Coast VNA & Hospice in care of the mortuary.
