Jonjean Spellacy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jonjean Spellacy of Monterey, California, born in Steubenville, Ohio, who passed away on September 26, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Thompson and Jean Hammond Thompson; her husband Robert W. Spellacy (Robert Brodsley); her son Steven Spellacy; her sister Jonalyn Raineri; and her stepparents, Harold and Elizabeth Gefeller.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Spellacy-Fox (David) of Salinas, Brian Spellacy (Cherokee) of Albuquerque, Clifford Spellacy of Broad Channel and Kieran Spellacy of Salinas; and her siblings, Suzie Lazzara and David Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona.. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Jean was a member and parishioner of the San Carlos Cathedral, where she particularly enjoyed the outdoor masses during Covid.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jonjean's memory to VNA Hospice of the Central Coast at 45 Plaza Circle Salinas, CA 93901.
