She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Smith and Mary Lou Henderson; her husband Jimmie Lee Tyson; her stepmother Nola Faye Smith; and her siblings, Curtis McKie and Jan Taylor.

She is survived by: her brothers, Roy Smith and Sheldon McKie; her daughter Ingrid Tyson; her granddaughters, Jessica Olivio and Tiffany Olivio; and her great grandchildren, Jet Sanders and Christopher Oakes, Jr.. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
