He is survived by: his wife Marion Sumimoto; his children, Wendy Thomas (Dean), Delan (Leane) and Derek Sumimoto (Kathy); his grandchildren, Vance Thomas, Jerran, Miles, Kenzie, Lauryn and Sophia Sumimoto; and his sister Kazue Kaide of Hawaii. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
