She was predeceased by: her husband Yoshio; and her son Gary Nobuo. She is survived by: her children, Katsumi (Kiyoko), Ken (Akiyo), Eddie Imoto (Emi), Jeanne Kawawata (Kenjun), Miyoko Okamoto (Mickey) and Randy Imoto (Tamara); and her sisters, Alice Yamada and Mabel Minami. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
