“Jo was a dedicated volunteer at the Los Angeles Arboretum in Arcadia for over 40 years. I volunteered with her in the craft group for about 10 years. She had a great talent and was very creative. It always amazed me how easy it was to come up with an idea and finish it so quickly. She also amazed me that she drove until she was 95. We all miss her and I extend my sincere sympathy to her family. Terry Smith”

“I worked with Jo at the Arboretum craft group for several years. She was always nice and friendly but didn’t enter into group conversations often, probably because of not hearing well. She was very creative and was a master at making Christmas trains and nature settings with birds. I missed her when she stopped coming to the craft group (at age 96) and am saddened to hear of her passing. She was an inspiration to us all.”
