He was predeceased by: his siblings, Raymond Murphy, Robert Murphy, Betty Murphy, Annalee Kenross and Shirley Marsh; and his grandson Michael Richardson.
He is survived by: his wife Imogene; his children, Robert Murphy of Reno, NV, Tamara Murphy of Sacramento, CA and Phillip Murphy of Sacramento, CA; and his grandchildren, Tommy Richardson, Aubrey Schaul, Ryan Murphy, Heather Murphy, Allison Murphy, Savannah Murphy, Kellen Wylie and Jordan Wylie. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
