With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Roger Southern (Modesto, California), who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Southern and Lillian Southern; and his brothers, Jerry Southern and Larry Southern. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Greg Southern, Cheryl Southern-Bradley and Paula Southern-Auld; his grandchildren, Matt Southern and Amy Auld; and his siblings, Dale Southern of Arkansas, J. L, Leon Southern of Modesto and Patricia Southern-Green of Turlock.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Modesto Senior Citizens Center (211 Bodem St, Modesto, CA 95350).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Roger's memory to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95350.
