He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Velasquez and Micaela Velasquez; and his siblings, Manuel, Joe, Jess Velasquez, Carmen Pereira and Mary Caldera.

He is survived by: his siblings, Margie Velasquez, Lupe Chavez, Josie Ballesteros, Rita V. Cruz and Michael Velasquez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
