She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldred Collick and Della Collick (Reno); her sister Fedelia Ruger; her children, Charlene Hernandez, Charles, Kenneth, Thomas and William Gates; and her grandsons, Jeremy Gates and Kristopher Carey.
She is survived by: her husband William L. Gates; and her daughters, Bonita Campo (Joseph) of Rosamond, CA, Patricia Hoppe (William) of Valencia, CA and Donna Carey-Hill of Clayton, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
