He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Neary and Evelyn Neary; his sister Janet; his brother-in-law Gerald Bordges; and his siblings, William Neary and Josephine Neary.

He is survived by: his wife Marcia Howard (Bunny); his children, Holly Hass (Joe) and Joseph Neary (Jamie Stymus); his grandchildren, Laura Trombetta (Joe), Olivia Hass, Joseph Hass, Aubrey Neary, Caitlin Neary and Patrick Neary; his sister Colleen Bettiga (Larry); and his cousins, Frank Koretic (Elly) of Florida, Gloria Douglas and Linda Koretic of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
