He was predeceased by: his father Jesse M Cortez. He is survived by: his mother Clementina G. Cortez; his daughter Genevieve Cortez; his granddaughter Melody Sky Daniel; his godson Manuel Munoz; his stepchildren, Dominic Jurado, Stephanie Jurado and Lydia Ortiz; and his siblings, John Cortez (Rebecca), Joseph Cortez, Maria Cortez-Perry (Lee), Martha Cortez and Patricia Cortez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
