He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mahoney and Betty Langston Gabel; and his sister Patricia Lahn. He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Smith (Elizabeth Geiger); his children, Renee Nowicki (Mark), Michael Mahoney (Shannon), Wendy Heather Lerman (Marcus), Shannon Brown (John) and Matthew Mahoney (Victoria); and his former wife Elizabeth. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
