She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Benton and Melva Benton; her son Ronald Benton-Sgroi (Ronnie); her grandmother Dee-Dee; and her close friend Sheila Bonner.
She is survived by: her husband Theodore Nelson (Ted); and her children, Velvet Nelson, Sher Graziano and Theodore Nelson Jr. Sharon (Ted). She is also survived by her husband, children, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Considering Covid-19, a celebration of life will be held later this year.
