He was predeceased by: his former wives, Betty Smith and Betty Ruth. He is survived by: his children, Velmond Cary Jr. (Peggy), Richard Cary (Rosemary) and Nancy Gale Hofflander (Jim). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
