He is survived by: his parents, Patricia Schmitt and Jerry Carter; his sons, Joshua, Joseph and Devin; his grandchildren, Emilie-Lynn, Michael, Jaxon and Jameson; his wife Trisha Carter; his stepdaughters, Amber Thornton and Paige Calkins; and his stepgrandchildren, Adrian Zermeno, Alex Zermeno and Kaydence Thornton.
