Richard Zachary Lewinter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2021, at the age of 95, Richard Zachary Lewinter in Marina del Rey, California, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey; and his wife Marion Zuckerman. He is survived by: his children, Anthony LeWinter (Julia) and Judi LeWinter (Mary Ellen); his grandchildren, Steve LeWinter (Debra), Scott LeWinter, Sandy Ginsburg (Lev), Vanessa LeWinter and Garrick LeWinter; his great grandchildren, Moshe, Shira Ginsburg, Aviva and Sage LeWinter; his daughter-in-law Yvette LeWinter (Bob); his brother-in-law Robert (Carol); his nieces and nephews, Joe Zuckerman, Danny Zuckerman, Karey Rowland (Godfrey), Kenny Zuckerman (Shani), Howard Zuckerman (Wendy) and Adam Zuckerman (RoAnne); and his cousins, Gary Platt (Tut), Andrea Yates and Kaley Stern.

Another great joy of Richard's final years was the time he was able to spend with his daughter, Judi, who came to temporarily be with him when Covid-19 hit and then stayed to take care of him through his passing.

In lieu of flowers, Richard's family requests donations be made to Richard's favorite charity, St. Jude's Hospital.
