He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominga Romo and Joe Romo; his brothers, Tommy, Rudy and Louie; and his nephews, Rueben Souza, Tommy Romo and Jimmy Romero.
He is survived by: his wife Cecilia; his children, Corrina Rose (Dieter) of Stockton and Richard Romo, Jr. (Jessica Lopez) of Newark, California.; his grandchildren, Marcus Montiel (Mary Torres), Aleeya Rose, Izeyah Romo, Santiago Romo and Monika Moniz; his great grandchildren, Zirah Torres, Zelliana Montiel and Darius Montiel; and his siblings, Mario, Alfred, Sally, Beatrice, Oscar, Frankie, Alfonso and Reuben. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
