He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Leroy and Wihelmena Tackla Speer (Meidlinger); and his wife Lorna Mae Meter. He is survived by: his children, Douglas (Lee Ann), Alexis (Joseph Di Maggio), Paulette (William Denton) and Donna Hall; and his grandchildren, Neil (Maggio), Jennifer Di Maggio-Bond, Victoria Hall, Jessica Kiser, Eric Denton, Karen Nichols and Kevin Speer. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
